End-of-Line Single Filing System | Two Lanes to One

36,000 cups an hour, two lanes coming in, one lane going out. At the end of a packaging line, products almost never arrive in the shape the next machine wants.

A shrink wrapper sends cups out in two side-by-side lanes. The x-ray inspection unit that follows it accepts one cup at a time. An end-of-line single filing system lives in that gap and decides whether the line keeps flowing or stalls at the finish. Aliş Makina designs and builds this transition as one engineering whole.

Flow Management and Line Features

Single filing is not one conveyor; it is an ordered chain of functions. Each stage does one job before handing the product to the next.

The critical decision is removing back pressure. Press two lanes straight into one and the trailing cups push the ones ahead; a thin-walled cup cannot take that force and dents at the merge. Instead, the flow is buffered first, the spacing between products is opened step by step, and only then are the two lanes combined. Each cup enters the single file on its own, not because the cup behind it pushed.

A four-function flow chain: buffering, spacing, merging and a final buffer, each handled by its own conveyor, seven in total.

Two accumulation conveyors (4,000 x 300 mm) absorb the surge at the shrink exit, so the uneven flow never reaches the merge in its raw form.

Three lane-opening conveyors (500 x 300 mm) run at rising speeds to open the gap between products step by step.

A single merging conveyor (1,700 x 800 mm) brings the two lanes down to one without back pressure.

An idle-roller collecting conveyor (2,000 x 300 mm) acts as the final buffer and presents an evenly spaced single file to the x-ray feed.

Intralox S1000 / S900 closed-surface modular belt fully supports the small cup base and keeps it upright through four transfers.

All metalwork is AISI 304 stainless steel with a hygienic body; moving parts sit behind guards, and the line is delivered CE certified.

Applications

A single filing system earns its place at the handover between end-of-line packaging and final inspection. It is built for plants that must bring light, thin-walled products down to one lane at high speed, without bruising them.

Plants that need a closed-surface, cleanable line for food hygiene

Integrated Systems

A single filing system never works alone; it ties into the stations at both ends of the line. Aliş Makina integrates layout, controller and drive from a single source.

From two lanes to one, without bruising the product

If you face a similar end-of-line constraint, we treat it not as picking a conveyor from a catalog but as an engineering problem spanning the whole flow, from the shrink exit to the x-ray feed.
